What a team !! Ben Josh and Tyler made us feel like VIP's for the VERY short time we were there. We live in an area 4 hours away from this shop where there are no Uncle Ed's so we purposely route our trips through Kalamazoo to this particular shop when we need oil changes...they are our HOME away from home car care professionals...nobody compares!! All of the people who work @ the store that I go to are so very friendly and seem to go above and beyond what they are required to do. For example, the technician who 1st helped me not only filled up my tires but also located the screw which was causing my tire to lose air and marked it for me. She told me I could stop in every day if I needed to and they would fill the tire up for me until I could have it repaired. We do own 4 cars so I am in there quite a lot, but I know that I will always be greeted with a smile and usually leave feeling better than before my visit. I have been using Uncle Ed's since 2001. First the Gull Road store and now the Beckley store. I've always had first rate and friendly service. Brandon and Adam do an excellent job at remembering repeat customers and their needs. (they even know when my wife's truck needs stuff after talking to me so she gets it right as well) I have not experienced anything that would keep me from coming back over and over. Outstanding barely describes the service we received today. We new it was going to be great when we were guided in with military precision! (Turns out, our Service Technician used to direct the landing of helicopters!) The entire staff was positive, well trained, and highly proficient as they went about their respective responsibilities. We received a complete (and thorough) check of our car (and all it' fluids, filters, etc.) and were pleased to see the staff double check under the hood when the service was completed. I was raised by an Uncle who was an old time Mechanic (we're talking 30 yrs ago) so I grew up in a garage. He drummed into my head "if you get your oil changes done on time, keep up with the additional fluid checks and flushes, get a good mechanic and listen to his advice, your car can last forever." Because of this I know enough to know when I'm being fed a line of B.S. and when I'm being talked down to. But, I also know when I'm being given sound advice and being talked to and informed rather than down to. That being said.... I LOVE MY UNCLE ED'S! I have a 2003 Buick Rendezvous, I bought it new, so have had it for about 6 years. I took it to my local Uncle Ed's (shop 1108) for its 1st oil change and have taken it there ever sense. I count on the fast, friendly, professional service I get there. Today is a perfect example. I stopped in even though I'm sick and was heading home from work early. I needed it done and didn't want to put it off. The crew was awesome. Just like always they were fast and efficient. They also made sure all my bases were covered. I had not had a steering fluid flush done ever; they suggested that I should have that done sometime soon. They went over price with me and I gave them the OK to do it. They also let me know that I was due for an engine flush. I knew they had told me last time that something like that was due but couldn't remember. But I know I don't have to remember or worry about it because they do it for me. So I gave them the OK on that too. Like always they checked my lights, wiper blades, other fluids, tires, etc. My air filter was pretty dirty so I had that changed out too. All of this and an oil change sounds like it should have taken a couple hours. Not at my Uncle Ed's. In and out in about a half an hour. I have to tell you though, not only are these guys fast, it's like having a friend looking out for me. And being a single Mom of 4 that's a big deal. These guys were thoughtful of the fact that I had a sinus headache and didn't feel well, they were and always are respectful, cheerful and helpful. I didn't have any of the coupons with me because it was a spur of the moment stop, so they gave me little off on the power steering flush. I have to tell you, friends have tried to get me to go other places, friends of my boys who work on cars have offered to save me some money and do the oil change for me. I always decline the offers and suggestions. It's like having a good family Dr. that you trust. You don't go anywhere else. I want to say thank you to all those guys who have worked on my car, not just today but for the last 6 years. You guys are great! Beverly McKamey Portage

Let's be honest, it's not like anyone looks forward to getting their oil changed. It is, in fact, one of those things I tend to dread because, while I know it's good for my car, it's not like you actually see the benefits of your expenditure like a car wash or a nice pair of fuzzy dice to hang from the rear view mirror. But let me say, today I had one of the best oil change experiences, well, ever. The guys working at Store 1108 were courteous, quick and all together entertaining. This is not an uncomplicated blend - sometimes you can have great service and charm, but at the expense of getting your customers out the door in a timely manner. Or vice versa, every one works lickety-split, but has all the personality of a toaster. I'm not sure where these comments go, or if they simply float out into the karmic void. But I hope that the good deeds done for me today (including a smile the entire time I was at the shop) is returned 10-fold. Emily Haines Kalamazoo

But gave me much more confidence in their seriousness and ability compared to the other oil change place I typically go to. My husband and I will both be going out of our way to go back. I stopped into the Uncle Ed’s that I have been to before on my way to a very important appointment. I made it clear that I needed a new fuel filter, serpentine belt and oil change at some point. I didn’t want to risk having the work done at that time IF there was even a REMOTE CHANCE that I would be late for my appointment. Cliff assured me they would be able to accommodate me. After verifying that the parts were in stock the guys swarmed my vehicle like a pit crew and got me in and out in plenty of time to make my appointment. When I arrived at Uncle Ed's 10 minutes before closing, I was a little surprised by the warm greeting from the friendly staff. I for one wouldn't appreciate such a late arrival! Nevertheless, I was informed it would be just a few minutes. I drive a new '08 Saturn Astra, which I quickly learned through Kevin, has a unique oil filter that wasn't available at the shop. I was a little disappointed, but I half expected this since this Belgium-made vehicle has only been available in the States for a few months. Kevin quickly offered some alternatives and even called an auto parts store in an attempt to find the filter. We eventually found the filter at a Saturn dealership a few miles away, and Kevin and Doug offered, to my surprise, to stay past close and wait for me as I picked up the filter! I was very impressed with their extra effort to service my special need. Over an hour past their normal quitting time, Kevin and Doug sent me on my way with an engine full of Mobil 1, and a great appreciation for the exceptional customer service at Uncle Ed's. Philip and Roy were excellent. I was extremely impressed with their willingness to go above and beyond to help me fix my windshield wipers. They were patient, Informative, friendly and extremely helpful throughout, making me feel like a valued customer. I have never had such a positive oil change experience, and this experience has solidified what I enjoy about the service at Uncle Ed’s.
